Moby P. DeTorres, Esq. Mr. DeTorres, the owner and founder, established The Torres Law Firm in 1995. He received his law degree from Lincoln Law School in San Jose, California. A member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA), Mr. DeTorres has years of valuable experience in areas of business/family immigration law and nationality law. He has represented clients for naturalization interviews, adjustment of status interviews, marriage fraud, and deportation hearings. He has worked on H, E, L, F visas, national interest waivers, labor certifications, EB-1, EB-2 and EB-3 immigrant petitions. In his free time, Mr. DeTorres enjoys yoga, running, playing ice hockey, and surfing.
Carolina Scofield, Esq. Ms. Scofield joined the Torres Law Firm in 2007. She received her law degree from Universidade Federal Fluminense, Brazil and her LL.M. from University of San Diego. Ms. Scofield also attended Université de Genève, Switzerland, for their “Diplôme D’ Etudes Approfondis en Droit” program. Ms. Scofield is fluent in Portuguese, Spanish, French, and English. She is also learning Italian. Prior to working at the Torres Law Firm, Ms. Scofield practiced in the areas of construction defect, international law, eminent domain, family law, commercial law, and consumer law. Ms. Scofield is licensed in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil and in California, USA. In her free time, she enjoys traveling, snowboarding, and dancing.
